Symphony in Blue
Striking blues and greens shimmer together in this moving art glass sculpture that embodies Ralph Vaughan Williams' A Sea Symphony. The bold colors and energy reflect the symphony's adventurous spirit as well as the radiant ocean of Walt Whitman's verses. This sculpture was formed by firing glass into designed sheets which were then cut into strips. The strips were arranged to create the piece's harmonic composition and fused together. A custom metal stand is included for display.
