The Glass Studio
From a memory of travel to tangible emotion, a story told in glass.
Glass, reimagined.
Our glass studio is a magic place. Here we create alchemy, constantly negotiating between the physical hardness of glass and the fluidity of it’s form. Starting with cold, brittle sheets and scraps of glass, the artist creates a broad range of incredible art. This development is a constant interplay of color, pattern, and texture. It is a culture newly understood, a mosaic remembered, a memory resurfaced. Welcome to our studio.

The Santorini
In vibrant shades of turquoise, green and aqua, this dramatic glass vessel evokes the colorful landscapes of the Greek island of Santorini, with its golden sand beaches, turquoise waters and shimmering sun. This kiln-formed wall sculpture is created by firing separate sheets of design glass in transparent, iridized, and opaque glass and the shifting colors and hues of the Southwest region. “My inspiration may come from the richly-scented spices in a Moroccan market, an Uzbek tile design, an exquisite Turkish tapestry, or the shifting colors of a molten Grecian sunset. All awaken my curiosity and propel me to translate these feelings into tangible forms.”

What people are saying…
“This is a beautiful, dramatic piece. It's just like it's pictured online and in the catalog. Looks terrific on our "rusted" metal dining room table, especially when the sun comes through the windows, but would look good on any contemporary wooden table stained brown or black.”
TAMARA S.
“The vase is much more beautiful ‘live’ than in the pictures. The way in which light interacts with the design makes this piece very unique.”
BARBARA T.
“A beautiful piece of art that also happens to be a lamp! This lovely item now graces a former shadowy area in my dining room and creates a soothing glow, Such a joy to see! Thank you so much Varda!”
ROBERTA E.
“Another exquisitely made pillow! Arrived very carefully packed. As always, the customer service is second to none! Thank you!”
